A perfect match as Welsh Lamb teams up with Festival No.6

Whatdo TV and film star Steve Coogan, chart-topping musician James Morrison and best selling author Irvine Welsh have in common with Welsh Lamb?

The answer is they’re all appearing at Festival No.6, the unique music and arts event held in the picturesque Italianate village of Portmeirion.

“Festival No 6 has grown in stature enormously since it was launched just three years ago, attracting not only top talent from the music and arts community but also an audience who appreciate the finer things in life, particularly food,” said Pip Gill, Brand Marketing Executive with Hybu Cig Cymru – Meat Promotion Wales (HCC).

“It was therefore an obvious location to further promote the provenance of Welsh Lamb to an appreciative audience of existing and potential customers.

“Festival No.6 prides itself on being ‘a festival like no other’, and Welsh Lamb prides itself on being lamb like no other, so it’s a perfect match.”

HCC will locate a mobile kitchen in Portmeirion for the duration of the event with expert cooks giving cooking demonstrations and giving festival-goers the opportunity to taste some of the many wonderful Welsh Lamb dishes that can be found on the HCC website – eatwelshlamb.com.

Festival No.6, described as ‘a bespoke banquet of music, arts and culture in the most stunning festival location in the world’, runs from September 3rd to the 6th. It is named after Patrick McGoohan’s character in cult 1960s show ‘The Prisoner’, which was filmed in Portmeirion.
