Time is running out for youth rugby teams across Wales to win a training session with cup-final winning rugby player, Phil John!
The ex-Scarlet and RGC1404 player-coach was a proud member of the team that encountered a tense tournament-final against Pontypridd last weekend before triumphantly lifting the WRU National Cup at the final whistle.
The opportunity to win a half-day coaching session with the legendary prop forms part of a cracking prize package, courtesy of Hybu Cig Cymru – Meat Promotion Wales (HCC). Also up for grabs for one successful junior rugby team is a whopping £1,000 towards a brand new rugby kit and a wonderful Welsh Beef BBQ for the team.
Phil John said: “For me, PGI Welsh Beef and grassroots rugby go hand-in-hand. After all, what could be better after a physically demanding game than a quality high-protein steak with your teammates? It’s fantastic to think that initiatives like this can play a part in the development of the next generation of Welsh stars and couldn’t think of a better organisation to partner with than PGI Welsh Beef.”
To enter, share a post-match picture or training session on the Welsh Beef Facebook page - www.facebook.com/PGIWelshBeef- before the closing date, 30th April 2017. Don’t forget to include the hashtag #BredInHeaven.
Rhys Llywelyn, Market Development Manager at HCC said: “Rugby is an incredibly important pillar of Welsh culture and a firm favourite on Welsh soil.
